Following an action-packed weekend in Japan that saw Ducati's Marc Marquez secure a dominant double victory, the paddock shifts its focus to a venue that has historically been a thorn in the Spaniard's side. Remarkably, Marquez has never managed to finish a Sunday grand prix in Indonesia across four previous attempts.

Last year’s race at Mandalika remains fresh in the memories of fans. Marco Bezzecchi set a blistering pace all weekend, only to suffer a disastrous start and misjudge his braking while fighting through the pack, colliding with the back of Marquez's Ducati. The incident resulted in another injury to Marquez’s battered right arm and handed a sensational victory to Gresini’s Fermin Aldeguer.
